Three Men Nabbed Over Catalytic Converter Crime Spree Across Hampshire
Three suspects were arrested after a series of catalytic converter thefts hit Hampshire overnight from 14 to 15 June. Police swooped just before 3am after reports of three men trying to nick a converter from a car on Ferneham Road, Fareham.
Thieves Caught Red-Handed After Vehicle Damage
Damage was done to three cars parked on a victim’s driveway during the failed theft attempt. The culprits fled but didn’t get far – officers tracked them down shortly after on Duncan Road, Park Gate. Police have connected this bust to several other thefts and attempted thefts of catalytic converters in the county, including:
- Pearson Lane, Shawford (1.30am) – victim shot with air-rifle causing minor injuries
- Claylands Road & Greens Close, Bishops Waltham (2am)
- Chapel Road, Swanmore (2.28am)
- Woodley Close & Ganger Road, Romsey (10.30pm on 14 June)
- Eastmans Field, Chilbolton (11.30pm on 14 June)
- Berber Close, Whitley (3.15am)
