Horror in Wythenshawe: Woman Raped in Kirkup Gardens

Just after 12.30am on Tuesday 20 April, police rushed to Kirkup Gardens in Wythenshawe following reports of a brutal rape. A woman in her 20s was attacked in what officers believe was a random, sickening assault.

Police Launch Major Hunt for Attacker

Officers have swarmed the scene, hunting for crucial evidence. So far, no arrests have been made. Police are pleading with anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward immediately.

Chief Inspector Speaks Out

“A truly horrendous incident took place last night,” said Chief Inspector Cara Charlesworth of GMP’s Manchester South Division. “We are supporting the victim with specialist officers during this awful time.”

“This appears to have been a random attack. Our officers are working tirelessly to find those responsible.”

“We’ve boosted police patrols in the area. The public should feel safe and can approach officers with any concerns.”

“It was the middle of the night, so witnesses might be few, but anyone with information must get in touch. Every detail counts.”
