Man Dies After Brutal Neck Injury in SE18
At 6.29am on Wednesday, 28 October, police and London Ambulance Service rushed to Orchard Road, SE18, after reports of a seriously injured man.
A 29-year-old was found bleeding heavily from his neck. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at an east London hospital at 7.53am.
Family Devastated as Investigation Begins
Next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Formal identification is still awaited.
The post-mortem on Friday confirmed the cause of death as severe blood loss.
“The status of the death remains ‘unexplained’,” said A/Chief Inspector Josh Laughton from the Met’s South East Command. “We do not yet know if others were involved. We urge anyone with information to come forward immediately.”
