Man Charged in Upminster Aggravated Burglary After Knife and Gunshot Incident
Arrest Made Following Shocking Attack
Detectives have charged Christopher Sargent, 26, from East Ham, with aggravated burglary and possession of an offensive weapon after a violent incident in Upminster. The accused faces court at Barkingside Magistrates’ on Wednesday, 6 May.
Gunshot and Knife Injuries Leave Two Hurt
Police were called to Kerry Drive, Upminster, at 9.30pm on Friday, 1 May. Officers and paramedics found two victims injured inside the property.
- An 11-year-old boy was shot. He remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.
- A man in his 40s suffered head lacerations. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
