The woman, a non-UK national, was arrested in Burton before being held at Northern Area Custody in Stoke-on-Trent. Reports say she fell ill while in custody, prompting concerns of potential infection.
Precautionary Measures in Staffordshire Police
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Three members of Staffordshire Police are staying at home as a precautionary measure after reports that a woman who had been detained in custody was unwell.”
The force is taking no chances as the investigation and testing continue.
