Eastbourne Lifeboat Scrambles to ‘Body in Water’ Call—Turns Out to Be Floating Log

The Eastbourne RNLI sprang into action this morning just before 11am after a 999 call reported a “body in the water” near Fort Fun.

The inshore lifeboat launched immediately and conducted a thorough search. After scouring the area, rescuers found only a floating log—no body was discovered.
