Desperate Search Underway for Missing London Firefighter in Lewes
Sussex is on high alert after London firefighter Anthony Knott, 33, vanished during a night out in Lewes. The brave firefighter, from Orpington, Kent, went missing after a festive pub crawl with colleagues on Friday (20 December).
Last Seen at The Lamb Pub
Anthony was last spotted at around 7.30pm in The Lamb on Fisher Street. Since then, Sussex Police, local fire crews, family, and fellow London firefighters have combed the town in a frantic search effort.
Family’s Heartfelt Plea for Answers
His partner, Lucy, joined today’s search and begged anyone with info to step forward. She said: “This is out of character. He’s a family man. He loves his job; he loves his friends; he loves his kids – and it’s Christmas. This isn’t something he would intentionally do.”
“He wouldn’t want to stay away. That’s why we are extra worried because it’s just not like him and we are thinking the worst because he wouldn’t do this to us.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Superintendent Katy Woolford, leading the investigation, revealed:
“We’ve checked pubs, shops, takeaways, taxi and bus services, plus CCTV – but no sign of Anthony yet.”
“Family and friends are growing increasingly worried. If anyone saw Anthony in Lewes after 7.30pm on Friday, please get in touch.”
Description: White male, about 6ft tall, medium build, medium-brown short gelled hair. Wearing a black long-sleeve top, dark denim suit-style jacket, dark denim jeans, and black shoes.
