The Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance raced to the Isle of Wight just before 8.30am today. A team of flying doctors and a paramedic onboard the iconic yellow and green helicopter responded swiftly to a call from the Island’s ambulance service.

The sleek EC135 helicopter landed at the Ventnor 1 Club to back up paramedics attending a serious medical incident at a local address.
Patient Airlifted to Portsmouth Hospital
After stabilising the patient on site, crews packaged and flew them to Portsmouth Hospital for urgent treatment following a medical episode.
