Three More Arrests in Andover Murder Probe
Police hunting a killer in Andover have swooped again, arresting two women, aged 32 and 47, plus a 46-year-old man — all from the town — on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody.
Earlier, a 37-year-old local man was also held over the same murder. Officers were called just before 1am on Friday, 13 April after a man was found seriously injured in an alley off Smannell Road.
Victim Dies in Hospital
The victim, a 28-year-old man from London, was rushed by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead on arrival. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving specialist support.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Ben Chivers said: “Our investigations into what happened in the early hours are ongoing. Residents in Andover will see heavy police presence today and throughout the weekend.
“We’re carrying out house-to-house enquiries and scouring the scene. We believe there are still people who were in the area or saw what happened who we haven’t spoken to yet. If that’s you, please get in touch.”

Andover’s Chief Inspector Kory Thorne added: “We know this incident will worry residents, but rest assured, we have increased officer patrols while the investigation continues.
“Such incidents are rare here. Our neighbourhood officers are working closely with detectives to follow every lead. You’ll see lots of police on the streets today — if you have concerns or info, don’t hesitate to talk to them.”
