Tragic crash in Coventry: Young boy dies, woman seriously injured

A horrific road crash last night (Sunday) on Stoney Stanton Road, Coventry, has claimed the life of a young boy and left a woman fighting for her life.

Emergency services race to horror collision

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 9.03pm following reports of a collision between a car and pedestrians. Four ambulances, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor, and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car rushed to the scene.

Young boy’s life tragically lost

On arrival, crews found the young boy with devastating injuries. Paramedics gave specialist trauma care on scene and while rushing him to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. Despite their valiant efforts, doctors confirmed he could not be saved shortly after arrival.

Woman in her 30s seriously hurt

A woman believed to be in her 30s suffered multiple injuries, including serious leg wounds, and was also taken to the same hospital in a critical condition. Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
