Sex Attack on Croydon Bus Sparks Police Hunt
Detectives are urgently seeking information after a woman was sexually assaulted on a Route 109 bus from Croydon to Brixton. The victim, a 29-year-old woman, boarded the bus at Croydon’s Whitgift Centre at 5.30pm on Monday, 18 December.
Chilling Assault on Busy Bus
The woman took an aisle seat on the lower deck near the driver’s cabin. Around 5.45pm, a man got on at West Croydon Station and stood close before sexually touching her.
She bravely escaped her seat and got off at the Broad Green Avenue stop. The suspect also exited there but went off in a different direction.
Police Release Suspect Description
- Asian male, 30s
- Approx. 5ft 8ins tall
- Short dark hair with short beard and moustache
- Grey hooded jumper with “Made for fitness” in white lettering
- Dark tracksuit bottoms
- Dark trainers with white soles
- Carrying an orange carrier bag
