Man Arrested After Bizarre Incidents Targeting Girls in Fareham
Police have arrested a 32-year-old man from Southampton following three creepy encounters in Fareham last Saturday afternoon. The suspect reportedly approached women and teenage girls on West Street, Southampton Road, and at Fareham shopping centre, asking inappropriate questions.
Viral Video Sparks Alarm
A video capturing the odd man approaching two 13-year-old girls quickly went viral, racking up more than 24,000 views on social media. Thankfully, no one was harmed during the incidents.
Suspect Held on Serious Charges
The man is currently in custody, facing suspicion of intent to commit a sexual offence and using threatening, abusive, or insulting behaviour designed to cause harassment, alarm, or distress.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers urge anyone who was approached by a suspicious man in Fareham on Saturday afternoon, or who has information related to the investigation, to contact Fareham Police on 101 quoting incident number 441 8008 1718.
