Police Hunt Pervert After Sex Attack on London Bus
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are urgently seeking information after a young girl was sexually assaulted onboard a Route 96 bus heading from Bluewater Shopping Centre to Woolwich.
Chilling Assault on Route 96
The attack happened on 28 August 2017, around 6.30pm. A 17-year-old girl boarded the bus and took a seat upstairs. A man got on at Dartford Magistrates’ Court stop and sat right next to her, despite plenty of empty seats. He then began to sexually touch her.
Fighting back, the victim confronted the man before getting off at Plumstead Corner. The suspect left the bus shortly after, near Plumstead High Street/Lakedale Road.
Suspect Description
- White male in his 40s
- Medium build with short brown hair
- Wearing a brown jacket, blue T-shirt, white & black patterned shorts
- Grey Nike trainers, black socks
- Carrying a black rucksack
Police Launch Appeal
“We want to speak to this man in connection with this sexual assault,” said PC Chris May, lead investigator. “If you recognise him or have any info that could help, please get in touch.”
