City Centre Chinese Joint Risks Licence Over All-Night Karaoke Raves
A city centre Chinese restaurant could be left singing the blues after cops found it hosting wild all-night karaoke parties. Melody’s Chinese Restaurant, right next to McDonald’s on Commercial Road, has been letting revellers party through the night for a mere £20 entry fee in three separate karaoke rooms.
Illegal Parties Exposed
Despite holding a licence that only allows trading until 11pm, Melody’s was caught red-handed serving up late-night booze, food, and letting customers smoke inside. Police swooped on three occasions this year to uncover the after-hours madness.
Licence on the Line
Hampshire Police aren’t laughing. They’ve now called for Melody’s licence to be revoked, threatening the restaurant’s chances of staying open.
£20 to party all night? Sounds like a bargain, but could cost Melody’s dearly.
