Fugitive Paedophile Hiding in Hampshire Village Under Fake Name

Roger Alan Giese, 40, wanted by the FBI for horrific child abuse charges, has been hiding in the sleepy Hampshire village of Broughton for eight years. He fled the US just before his trial over allegations involving a 13-year-old boy was set to begin.

New Life as ‘Jonathan Roberts’ in Andover

Under the alias Jonathan Roberts, Giese set up a PR firm, C4 Digital Group, with partner Linda Scott. The firm, which has grown from a tiny room in Andover to offices including one on New York’s prestigious 5th Avenue, counts big names like travel giant Thomas Cook, London’s Royal Horseguards Hotel, and international Gouman Hotels among its clients.

Shockingly, Giese even landed a role on Thomas Cook’s Digital Advisory Board and held the title of ‘Global Head of Social Media’ while on secondment — an appointment that lasted over a year. Thomas Cook later admitted they were “shocked and appalled” upon learning his true identity.

FBI Details Chilling Abuse Allegations

Giese is wanted in Orange County, California, on 19 counts including “lewd acts” with a child and “penetration with a foreign object.” Prosecutors say he abused his alleged victim while working as a voice coach with the All-American Boys Chorus, after befriending the boy’s family at a church and even staying with them for two weeks in 1998.

“During this two weeks he shared a bedroom with the minor, and he developed a sexual relationship with the boy,” said FBI Special Agent Tracy Hanlon. Deputy District Attorney Kal Kaliban urged, “Mr Giese should turn himself in as soon as possible. The victim deserves justice.”

Fighting Deported Back to Face Justice

Despite being named on the FBI’s wanted list and targeted by Interpol’s international fugitive roundup, Giese is battling in the UK High Court to avoid extradition. His legal team claims deporting him to California would “breach his human rights.”

The fugitive paedophile’s fight to stay could prolong justice for his alleged victim. But one thing’s clear – authorities are finally closing in on the man hiding in Hampshire.
