Coastguard Warns: Stay Calm if You Get Stuck
“Our advice is always the same if you become stuck in mud or quicksand: Stay calm, try to spread your weight as much as possible, and avoid moving. Always call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. Anyone trapped should also stop others from trying to rescue them, as they could get stuck too without proper equipment.”
