Convicted paedophile Andrew Sealey, 39, has been caught in a vigilante sting and warned he faces jail time. Sealey admitted exchanging explicit texts with who he believed were three children aged 14 and 15.
But when Sealey turned up at Paultons Park theme park in Hampshire, he was shocked to find the “kids” were actually adults posing as a boy named ‘James’ and two girls, ‘Jilly’ and Alice. Southampton Crown Court heard he even gave them instructions and knew they were underage.
Appearing via video link from prison, Sealey, who wore a grey jumper, pleaded guilty to eight counts of attempting to incite a child to sexual activity.
Sham Meeting at Paultons Park
On May 28 this year, Sealey showed up at the family theme park planning to meet ‘James’ after grooming him online. Police arrested him on the spot.
Facing Heavy Jail Sentence
Sealey also admitted one count of attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming. The court told him sentencing will happen on August 4. He remains remanded in custody.
This sick case shines a light on how vigilante groups can assist law enforcement in trapping paedophiles.
