Sussex Police hunt witnesses after woman assaulted on Brighton Seafront
Violent attack rocks Brighton Seafront
Sussex Police are on the lookout for anyone who saw an assault on Brighton Seafront last Friday night, 12 September 2025. The attack took place at around 9:15pm, between the Doughnut Groyne and Brighton Pier.
A man, aged 30 to 40, dressed in a full grey tracksuit and a black beanie, reportedly attacked a woman. Officers quickly responded and scoured the area.
Suspect arrested and released on bail
A 31-year-old man from St Albans was arrested nearby on suspicion of common assault and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He has since been released on police bail while investigations continue.
Police plead for witnesses
